I hadn't had a chance to use the Oh, So Lovely stamp set yet so I decided that I needed to make a card featuring one of the images from that set. I started with Garden Green for the card base. Although I like this shade of green and I definitely prefer it over Glorious Green and Always Artichoke, I still don't seem to use it very often. I stamped the focal image in black on Whisper White and used my Ballet Blue and Garden Green @Stampin' Up markers to color it. I tore a piece of Ballet Blue card stock and layered it on the base. I then cut a piece of Barely Banana card stock and stamped it with Barely Banana ink using one of the stamps from Itty Bitty Backgrounds. I layered it over the piece of Ballet Blue and then layered the focal image on top. I added two copper brads to complete the design. All card stock, ink, images and accessories are @Stampin' Up.
I definitely like this layout and will most likely use it again. I also like this color combination and will have to add it to my list of favorites. As for this particular card, I didn't have anyone particular occasion in mind when I made it. I guess it could be used for a birthday, anniversary, thank you, sympathy, etc., depending on what I stamp on the inside.
I haven't even gone outside today...it's just too cold. This high is supposed to be 17 degrees. It's sunny but even that won't make up for the bitter cold temperatures.
Until next time...
