Fluffles the Cat arrived on Monday but I didn't have time to play with my new set until now. I just love this little guy. He's too cute. Something about him reminds me of the Kliban cats. I think it's his expression...or maybe it's his attitude!
For my first creation using this new set, I decided to use the flower stamp. I wanted to make it bright and cheery and very spring-like. I stamped the image on white card stock and then cut it out with the Marvy Uchida giga scallop punch. I cut out Yoyo Yellow card stock with the giga punch to create a mat. I colored the flowers with yellow, orange and red SU watercolor pencils. I decided to use Only Orange as the base (I seem to be using this color more and more) and used the Stampin' Up speckled background wheel inked with Only Orange. I then remembered the May Arts ribbon I have that coordinates well with these colors. The focal image was mounted on the card using dimensionals. I added three yellow eyelets to complete the design. All inks, card stock and eyelets are @Stampin' Up. Fluffles is @Stampendous.
Be sure to check back often for future creations featuring Fluffles.
