Nine to Five

We saw Nine to Five at the Fox on Saturday.  Nine to Five is one of my all-time favorite movies.  I know I've seen it at least 30 times, maybe even more.  Anyway, the musical was just as good.  I knew a lot of the lines since they were they were taken directly from the movie.  I hope that it comes back to the Fox soon because I would love to see it again.

After the show, we ate dinner at Llywelyn's in the Central West End and then enjoyed a few brews at Six Row.  We had forgotten that Six Row now serves food or else we would have eaten there.  Oh well, we hadn't been to Llywelyn's for quite some time so it all worked out.

It was 73 degrees today and I drove home with my top down.  Woohoo!  Two weeks ago today we had 3 inches of sleet and 6 inches of snow plus the temps were single digits.  That's typical St. Louis weather for you!

A Christmas Story

I just finished watching A Christmas Story.  I love that movie.  In fact, it's one of my top ten favorites.  For the past 10 years or so, I've made it a habit to watch it on the first Friday night in December.  I turn out all the lights except those on the Christmas tree; oh wait, we don't have a Christmas tree.  OK, so I turn out all of the lights except those on the mantel and in the windows and I watch as Ralphie tries his best to convince his parents that he really needs a Red Ryder BB gun. 

Cardinal game packs go on sale at 9:00 am.  We're hoping to be able to buy one of the Friday night packs but we'll settle for the Saturday/Sunday pack or any of the others for that matter.  Baseball season will be here before we know it.  Go Cards!

Nine to Five

Guess what movie is on right now...OK, I guess the title of this post gave it away.  Yes, it's "Nine to Five" which is one of my most absolute favorite movies.  I have it on DVD but I still have been sitting here watching it for the past hour.  I have seen this movie at least 40 times (no exaggeration) and I still laugh every time I see it.  I remember the first time I saw it in the theater back in 1980.  Wow....27 years ago.  That's hard to believe because it seems like just yesterday.   

I am taking a vacation day tomorrow.  Both cars are due for an oil change so I'll take care of that plus a few other miscellaneous errands.  I may even have some time to stamp which is a good thing because I have several new designs in my head...hee hee hee.

Top Ten - Movies

I keep a running list of "future blog entries."  It's basically a list of thing I eventually want to post on my blog.  One of the items on my list is favorite movies.  After a recent conversation with a friend regarding Steel Magnolias (we both can quote lines from the movie word for word - you're too twisted for color TV) I decided to post a list of my favorite movies.   

My top 10 movies in no particular order:

I can watch these movies over and over.  In fact, I have watched each of these movies at least 10 times each.
