We saw La Cage Aux Folles at The Fox Theater on Saturday. Here's a video clip...
George Hamilton played Georges and Christopher Sieber played Albin. Georges has a son from a previous "relationship" and he and Albin raise him. The son is now engaged to the daughter of a very conservative political candidate who wants to close down the nightclubs in Saint-Tropez, one of which Georges and Albin own. Anyway, the show is hilarious. I still have one of the songs running through my head...We are what we are and what we are is an illusion.
We ate dinner at Morgan Street after the show. We hadn't eaten there in quite some time so it was the perfect opportunity and yum, it was good. :)
The next show in the Broadway Series is West Side Story (which we've seen several times at the Muny) but we traded it for Rock of Ages which is next month. It features rock songs from the 80's from Journey, Styx, Pat Benetar, Bon Jovi, etc. We're looking forward to it.
