I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We certainly did. My mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and the kids came over. We ate turkey and everything that goes with it and just enjoyed a nice, relaxing time.
The weather was nice yesterday (well, nice for the end of November in St. Louis...sunny and about 55 degrees) so Bill risked his life to hang the Christmas lights. While he was on the roof, a little girl and her mom were walking by. The little girl was probably 4 years old or so and she looked at our house and said, "Christmas lights." She then noticed that Bill was on the roof and she said, "Oh, he is on the house." Her mom and I both laughed.
I put the garland, bows and lights on our front porch railing today and I'm planning to do the inside decorations tomorrow. The jury is still out with regard to a Christmas tree. A certain wild kitty, who shall remain nameless, has tried to eat and climb the tree in years past.
We ate dinner at The Tap Room tonight...yummy beer pretzels and cheese dip and the crab cake sandwich. One of the few beers that Schlafly doesn't bottle is the Porter. Luckily it was on tap tonight so we enjoyed a few with dinner and then took a growler home to enjoy tomorrow.
It's actually snowing as I type. It isn't sticking on the streets but there's a dusting on the grass and bushes. The weatherman is predicting a mild winter and I'm sure hope he's right! I hate winter, snow, cold and everything that goes with it.
Have a great Sunday!
